Homework help, please?

Instructor Jays grade report for her algebra class listed 10 A's, 25 b's, 30 C's, 20 d's, and 10 f's. In addition to the information above, if you want to represent these data using a circle of radius 2 inches, each slice will be covered with paper of different color and the curved part of the slices will have a string of different color.

How much paper of each color do you need?

How much string of each color do you need?

please help me figure this out, it will be greatly appreciated.

most detailed answer gets the point

Thanks

Homework help, please?
You need to find the area and circumference of a circle with radius of 2 in.

a=pi(2)^2=12.57 sq inches

c=2pi(2)=12.57 inches

Find the percent of each grade and take that percent of the total area and circumference.

Total grades = 10+25+30+20+10=95.

A=10/95=.105

B=25/95=.263

C=30/95=.316

D=20/95=.211

F=10/95=.105

paper

--------

color 1 = .105 * 12.57 = 1.32 sq inches

color 2 = .263 * 12.57 = 3.31 sq inches

color 3 = .316 * 12.57 = 3.97 sq inches

color 4 = .211 * 12.57 = 2.65 sq inches

color 5 = .105 * 12.57 = 1.32 sq inches

string

--------

color 1 = .105 * 12.57 = 1.32 inches

color 2 = .263 * 12.57 = 3.31 inches

color 3 = .316 * 12.57 = 3.97 inches

color 4 = .211 * 12.57 = 2.65 inches

color 5 = .105 * 12.57 = 1.32 inches
Reply:area of circle = total paper = 4 pi sq. in.

circumference of circle = total string = 4 pi in.

so, for A color 10/95(4pi) sq. in paper, in string

so, for B color 25/95(4pi) sq. in paper, in string

etc.
