What does it mean when a guy holds your gaze?

There is Jack from chem class. I find him really good looking, so kept string at him (I am shy though). The next couple of days, he has been staring at me too (but maintains eye contact sometimes). Yesterday, there was a split moment when he smiled and I smiled back, but soon averted my gaze. He then came over to my work partner and I and asked if we were using this object in front of us. He looked me deep in the eyes the whole time. It took me a few seconds to process what he said, b/c I was so intrigued by his model-looks. lol. I smiled and said, "no" sweetly. He smiled back. Is there a reason to think he may be interested in me? (sexually? Relationship?)

What does it mean when a guy holds your gaze?
He has seen you looking at him first.. so now it is safe for him to move forward.. but.. in the matters of the heart, one of two things could have happened..





1. Because he caught you looking at him, he might feel comfortable getting to know you, likes you, interested in you, and pursuing to see if there is anything there.





or





2. Because he caught you looking at him, he might feel that you are an easy target for a romp in the hay.





There is no way to know which it is unless you go forward. If all he is looking for is sex, you will find that out quickly.. if not? Then go for it.. missed opportunities cannot be undone. There is no right answer here, so be careful on the responses you get with this question. You do not want to assume that all he wants is sex, but at the same time, you do not want to assume that he is interested in a relationship. Could go either way.. good luck though

Reply:he probably finds you attractive and is interested in you. Most guys if they maintain eye contact and gaze at someone they obviously like a girl so he probably likes you.
Reply:Sure, if he's staring you then he's probably interested, at least in your looks. But don't start running wild with your thoughts - there's no way to know if he's just into you "sexually" or for a "relationship". I mean, the guy has only looked at you for pete's sake, don't start planning a wedding just yet.....
